My journey with Beau Taillefer

Formula 55

For the bulk of my life I have been "in shape."  A strong background in competitive sports and  World Champion competitor in martial arts.  For years since college I have studied nutrition and supplements and took up body sculpting/weight training as a hobby.  I thought I had it all figured out for the most part.

Then I met Beau, a quiet yet confident young man that moved across the training floor with purpose with everything he does.  I watched as he transformed the bodies of client after client and then with a close friend of mine, whom he transformed for her walk across a fitness competition stage.  I was intrigued, to the extent that I wanted to do the same thing.  My life had consisted of competing in the martial arts world; large, heavy weight uniforms to cover my body as I went toe to toe with other world class competitors.  Entering a fitness competition meant having to prance across stage in next to nothing, a bikini; being judged on every line, striation, muscle tone, and symmetry.  I need help with this, there was no way I could accomplish this on my own.

In August of 2008 I told Beau I was going to compete in a World Championship fitness show in November.  His surprised reaction was almost as animated as my nerves about entering!  But he gave me his full attention and support and we began our journey with 12 weeks to work.

He evaluated my starting physique, developed a nutrition plan based on where he felt I needed to be, and started to train me like I have never trained before!  He knew by the looks of me on any given day if I was stressed, just by looking at my face or if I was holding water.  He was so genuine and in tune with me as he watched my progress.  It was not only his pushing me during my workouts, but his words of encouragement that kept me going.  He helped me visualize my goals and elevated my belief in myself.

As the weeks rolled by, he changed my diet and training according to my progress and how long we had to go.  At this point, I no longer saw Beau as a trainer and consultant, he was a conductor, an artist, and a master of his skill.  I listened to everything he told me, applied it in every aspect, and the results were exactly as he promised.  He even taught me how to walk on stage and to "own" it as I presented the final result on stage in front of hundreds.  My result....I won the OVERALL in Fitness Florida Model America.  And went on to the World Championships in Las Vegas with over 450 competitors and won the tall division of Miss Bikini America and came in 2nd OVERALL of Model America.  This was no cake walk, I was up against the elite of the industry.  The women that you see on the cover of major fitness publications, I was victorious over them all.

Since my shows, I my presence in the fitness industry has spring boarded out of control!! I have been on the radio, have had interviews and 2 page spreads in fitness magazines, I have shot for the cover of Natural Muscle Magazine, and I have been signed as a stand alone fitness spokesmodel and athlete for Muscleology nutrition products.  I could NOT have done this without Beau.  He is the true definition of a mentor, a friend, a gentleman, and a master of his profession in the fitness industry.

I am currently still training with Beau for an International fitness competition with over 500 competitors.  I would never dream of trying to prepare for this alone.  Beau is a staple, not only as I prepare for my walk across stage, but as I prepare to be the best of myself in my daily walk through life of health and wellness.

Thank you Beau, from the bottom of my heart.
